El Concilio y el Alcalde de Berkeley votarán para declarar a Berkeley una Ciudad Santuario en apoyo a la comunidad inmigrante

Quienes: Padres de familia, lideres comunitarios, maestros y niños acompañenos para seguir el ejemplo de otras ciudades del area de la bahía como, Oakland, Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose y East Palo Alto: ciudades que se han declarado santuario. Antes de la junta, nos reuniremos en las gradas para apoyar la resolución, habrá oradores y medios de comunicación para difundir el apoyo a la comunidad inmigrante y protestar por las redadas y el terror que causa ICE en nuestras comunidades.

Berkeley's Mayor and City Council will vote to join other Bay Area cities including Oakland, Richmond, San Francisco, San Jose and East Palo Alto in declaring itself an immigrant sanctuary

Before the meeting, community members will rally on the front steps of the City Council Chambers

Who: Immigrant parents, community leaders, teachers and children will be on hand to testify about the terrifying impact of ICE raids on the City of Berkeley and to urge our city leaders to join other cities in reaffirming its support for the civil rights of all of its residents and declaring itself an immigrant sanctuary by way of a new historic ordinance.
