ASAR-O is a collective of artists dedicated to making accessible popular art that reflects the demands & vision of the popular struggle. Using art as a tool of resistance, the artists face serious repression. As recently as January 22, one member of the collective was arrested for drawing in public, beaten and jailed; he has since been released, but threats of repression and violence continue.

CASA (Colectivos de Apoyo, Solidaridad y Acción) is an international solidarity organization supporting local autonomous struggles in Oaxaca, Chiapas and the US.

All funds raised will go to the ASAR-O artists' collective - to support their work, maintain a new multi-use studio space and establish a new youth training program - and the Oaxaca Emergency Relief Fund - to directly supports political prisoners, victims of repression and their families.

ASAR-O es un colectivo de artistas que se dedican al arte popular que refleja las demandas y la visión de la lucha popular en Oaxaca. Por usar el arte como arma de lucha, se enfrentan con una represión muy fuerte. El 22 de enero detuvieron y golpearon a un compañero del colectivo por estar dibujando en público; ya salió liberado pero siguen las amenazas, la represión y la violencia.

CASA (Colectivos de apoyo, solidaridad y acción) es una organización internacional que apoya a luchas locales para la autonomía en Oaxaca, Chiapas y los EU.

Todos los fondos se destinan al colectivo ASAR-O para seguir con su trabajo, mantener un nuevo taller multi-uso y establecer un taller para jovenes de las colonias, y al Fondo de emergencia apoyo a Oaxaca para apoyar directamente a l@s pres@s, a l@s víctimas de represión y a sus familias.
