African American leaders will share their experiences on a human
rights tour of the US-Mexico border. They include Rev. Phil Lawson,
San Pablo City Councilmember Leonard McNeil, former Peralta
Community College Board Member Alona Clifton, Liz Derias of the
Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and BAJI Coordinator Gerald Lenoir.

We will hear music, have dinner and begin creating relationships
necessary to foster true positive change for all our communities.

This is one of the most intelligent things I've seen concerning Blacks and Latinos in an attempt to work together and support each other. When I was growing up, we joined forces with each other for support.
It's ridiculous for us to be fighting against each other and doing the dirty work for those who don't want to see either group succeed. It would also be politically beneficial to suport each other in the same way that some civil rights organizations work together.
